1. Toddler Teacher
Montessori Country Day School is seeking a Toddler Classroom Teacher for children ages 1 year to 3 years for the 2022-2023 school year. Part-time and full-time options are available. A degree in early childhood education (N-4) or elementary education (K-6) is preferred but not required.
Position Details
The Montessori teacher’s responsibilities include creating lessons and experiences focused on developing social, physical, intellectual, and emotional skills, assessing children’s individual needs, and communicating with parents as required. You should be able to create a nurturing, stimulating classroom where every child feels included. To be successful as a Montessori teacher, you should be a lifelong learner who inspires a love for learning in your students. Montessori teachers are able to accept failure, learn from their mistakes, and embrace creativity and independence.
Specific job requirements include:
- Observing, guiding, supervising, and assessing children while they learn in the classroom environment.
- Developing lessons, independent learning exercises, and methods that cater to the needs of the individual child.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
- Establishing rapport and building relationships with students based on trust.
- Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
- Monitoring and assessing student progress and writing up reports.
- Regular communication with parents to communicate the growth and needs of the children.

2. Support Staff
Montessori Country Day School is seeking Supoort Staff for the 2022-2023 school year. Part-time and full-time options are available. A degree in early childhood education (N-4) or elementary education (K-6) is preferred but not required.
Position Details
The Montessori floater’s responsibilities include subbing into classrooms when classroom teachers are out for the day, pushing-in to staffed classrooms to work one-on-one with students, and to complete tasks that help to support daily operations. To be successful as a Montessori employee, you should be a lifelong learner who inspires a love for learning in students. Montessori staff members are able to accept failure, learn from their mistakes, and embrace creativity and independence.
